☆ 10 Year Challenge | 2019 - 2009 - 1999 | An artwork version of the 10 Year Challenge I guess! As I happened across the 1999-2009 version in my DA gallery the other day - so this is actually a 20 year version!
Instead of just redrawing I wanted to reflect the different choices I would make now with outfit etc...I hope I've improved somewhat in this time, although while drawing this I felt a bit like I haven't much for the last 10 years ^^''' There's a lot more to work on.

Artwork commissions are re-opened finally!
For the first time in a long time I have opened all types of commissions, from comic/manga style character art to caricature commissions and ACEO cards.
You can see the full range here, or check out the links under 'shop' in the menu.

It's March & I've had enough of winter now, so of course I end up drawing a very summery picture with my OC, Minnie!
So, I had sketched this & then I decided to use the picture for my new commission info. I scanned the inks + then printed them out so I had two copies. The second image is my layered ('cell shaded' like) marker colouring style (which I did on the print out, since that wouldn't smudge the ink as much) & the third is my fully blended, mixed media colouring style, which is a lot softer but nicer.
This isn't the usual way I'd do things - if I am going to be colouring a picture, especially in a very blended style or with mixed media I will lay off the heavy/thick inking until after I've coloured. This way there is less chance of smudging the artwork! (& going over your marker colouring with thicker ink lines means you can sneakily fix up any marker bleed...)
INKS | Fineliners + brush pen
SECOND DRAWING | Pro markers + Sharpie marker + triplus pens + white ink (I did blend the sky a little in this case)
THIRD DRAWING | Lots of different marker brands + pencil crayons + triplus pens + white ink
💕 Just listed a bunch of new stickers in my shop! (+ re-stocked some out of print ones, such as 'Somebunny')I only have a few of each but will re-stock if they're popular!
These are printed on durable, hard wearing gloss vinyl so you can stick them on most things, including laptops & skateboards.
I hand-cut them out, which is strangely meditative!
(The print sale is still on until the end of the month also)
Hourly Comics Day sketches, from top left - right
Hourly Comic Day takes place on February 1st every year - the idea is to draw a short comic (or panels) for every hour you are awake. Most artist's do autobiographical comics about their day.
This is my 3rd time attempting it & not entirely successful. I decided to put less pressure on by just sticking to pencil sketches, since I haven't been drawing much since mid-December, but didn't count on having a bad Fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue day :/
Better luck next year I guess! But at least I drew the finest cartoon of the gerbils I have ever drawn! (Third sketch - captures their personalities perfectly.)
Just thought I would post where I've been for the past month or so. As you might have seen if you follow my instagram, I sadly suffered a bereavement in December (my mum passed away not long before Christmas) & been away from home a lot of the time since with family.
My mum was always a huge supporter of my artwork & I am slowly getting back into doing things ❤️
I've been doing some handmade craft work lately - including making these little wreath brooches using some wooden charms made from my artwork, & also some cute ones I had around : )
These guys are for sale in my etsy shop now - just £5 each. They brighten up winter coats & make great stocking fillers!
25% off all artwork prints in my shop from now until Dec 20th!
I've also added a lot of new handmade items to my shop including many one of a kind works!

This is another work from earlier this year - April…
I’ll make prints available when I next do a print order!
I recently went over my ACEO original art card collection & have re-listed the available ones in my shop. These were made between 2010-2014 mostly using markers & other traditional media, sometimes embellished with glitter & other bits!
ACEO stands for Art Cards, Editions and Originals and are an excellent way of building your own, affordable, little art collection. They look great frames or propped up in mirrors, picture frames and book shelves. They also make wonderful gifts as they are easy to slip into a greetings card.
Each one is a one of a kind original miniature artwork. These are the one's I have for sale & they can all be found in my shop - there is also a two for £10 offer on cards priced between £5-£7.
